Overview

We are currently looking for talented, highly motivated, confident undergraduate & graduate students seeking a full-time, paid Co-Op/internship for the Spring Semester (January 17, 2023 – May 12, 2023) to work directly with teams at EagleView.  
 
Our team is looking for a Information Security Co-Op/Intern who will be responsible for assisting the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with many components of the organization’s information security program.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update documentation for policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
  • Research and evaluate applications and services for use by the institution. Provide a matrix when possible, detailing features within each different application or service.
  • Provide first level compliance monitoring and investigations.
  • Assist with forensics analysis and fact gathering.
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for specific applications, services, networks and servers as required.
  • Assist with applications/tools including but not limited to SIEM, XDR, e-mail gateway protection, and Vulnerability Management tools.
  • Perform compliance audits against institutionally accepted security controls.
  • Record and track IT security incidents, including but not limited to copyright violations, compromised accounts, e-mail threats, and abuse reports from various sources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled as a full-time student
  • Local to Rochester, NY or a willingness to work remotely
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Target areas of study:
    • Information Security
    • Cyber Security
    • Computer Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Other STEM related field
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Preference given to students with a working knowledge of network and application security, Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Preference given to students enrolled with a concentration in Cybersecurity or majoring in Computer Science
